Nestled north of downtown in the heart of Seattle lies the warm and familiar embrace of Green Lake Park. Two loops circle the swim-friendly lake – the inner paved loop is 2.8 miles while the outer gravel loop is 3.2 miles – creating a perfect running trail; flat, fast and all-weather. Runners of all shapes, speeds and sizes can be found sweating it out throughout the year. The trail is also open to wheeled apparatuses so watch out for bikers, skaters, strollers and even unicycles.
We never tire of Green Lake, enjoying the predictable pathways and adorable mutts, it’s our tried and true running trail.
TIP: After a quick run or walk around the lake, head over to Rosita’s, one of our favorite Mexican restaurants in Seattle and try the mole enchilada!
