Product Review: Supportive and stylish, the Vixen A/B Sports Bra is a winner
Through the ups and downs of my running life, one thing has remained constant: nylon/spandex pull-over compression sports bras, purchased mostly as afterthoughts to my running apparel. I’ve never packed much on top so these fairly inexpensive and widely available styles of sports bras have usually served me well.
Recently, random pain, occasional tenderness, chafing, too-tight straps and the thought that maybe I’ve outgrown shapeless compression bras, led me to Moving Comforts Vixen A/B sports bra. I went sports bra shopping seeking a more supportive, solidly designed and constructed bra and one that was comfortable and breathable.
Not only did the Vixen fit my bill and budget, it also came with molded cup liners, which I’ve never had and find delightfully wonderful for the nippy winter days, a stylish v-neck and a pullover style that suited to my average 34B size. The material is smooth and comfortable next to my skin and after my first run with Vixen, I cherished this wonderful sports bra.
I did have a bit of trouble after my first run pulling the Vixen off. Unlike nylon/spandex sports bras that stretch quite a bit, the Vixen’s blend of nylon, spandex and polyester gives the bra less give. I’ve found that hitching the sports bra as far over your back/shoulders as possible the fastest and easiest way to exit the bra, especially when sweaty.
